A small crack in the skin or a decrease in the immune system allows the virus to enter and remains in the dermal layer.
How to Treat Plantar Warts
At Home Treatment Options:
Plantar warts may be treated with home remedies and over-the-counter acid medication. If they become resistant to home treatment, painful or spread, however, you need to consult a podiatrist for care.
Podiatrist Treatment Options:
Doctor’s treatments include freezing the warts with liquid nitrogen, removing the wart with laser or surgery, or applying heavy acid strength with serial debridement at the office.
